A quick note from the newest artist in the Mojohand.com
family, Mike Potter:
I'd like to thank Grego Anderson of Mojohand for
welcoming me as an artist with open arms. I've always
doodled and also have always loved music. When I
saw what Grego was doing with his blues art I was
inspired to produce folk-art and then brave enough
to contact Grego at Mojohand.
My background is mostly musical, I started out playing
guitar when the British band invasion hit that included
the Stones, Yardbirds and the Animals. I moved from
Southern Illinois to Austin in 1976 playing with
a swing band called the Dixie Diesels. We got to
open for such greats as Willie, Waylon, David Allen
Coe, Hank Jr., Asleep at the Wheel and Gatemouth
Brown. I was also fortunate enough to play a couple
of gigs with Townes VanZandt and Chuck Berry. For
the past two decades I've worked as a psychotherapist
with juvenile offenders. I love the blues and I'm
thrilled to celebrate the great and talented through
the folk-art medium. Thanks for looking and hope
you like what you see.
